There’s something about a session at UT Gardens that just works so well for young families—and the O’Hara family’s session was such a sweet reminder of that.
This was the second time photographing their family, which always feels extra special. There’s already a level of trust and familiarity, and it makes the whole experience feel more relaxed from the very beginning. Their little girl brought so much personality to the session—equal parts curious, playful, and completely content being right in the middle of her parents.
And I have to mention their outfits… because they absolutely nailed it. The soft, coordinating colors fit perfectly with the gardens and photographed so beautifully without feeling overdone. It’s such a simple detail, but it makes a big difference in how cohesive and timeless the final images feel.
Sessions with young kids are never about perfection—and they shouldn’t be. This stage of life is full and a little unpredictable in the best way. Instead of trying to control every moment, the focus is on meeting families where they are, keeping things easy, and allowing space for real connection to happen. That’s exactly why UT Gardens is such a great location. There’s room to walk, explore, and let kids be themselves, while still having a clean, natural backdrop that feels elevated. It gives just enough structure without ever feeling restrictive.
If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, UT Gardens is such an easy, beautiful place to do it—especially in this season of life where everything is changing just a little faster than you expect. 🤍
