There are some families you photograph once and secretly cross your fingers that you’ll get to photograph them again—the Duncan family is one of those.
I first met Zoe, Jacob, and their sweet boy Toryn last fall during a family session at UT Gardens. We captured smiles, snuggles, and all the goodness that comes with chasing a giggly toddler around. When Zoe reached out to let me know they wanted me to capture the addition of baby brother, I may have done a tiny happy dance.
Here’s the thing about newborn sessions, especially ones with older siblings: they’re part gentle chaos (think feeding breaks, diaper changes and toddler energy) and part quiet magic. They all handled it all like total pros. Zoe and Jacob slipped into this new chapter like they were made for it—graceful, calm, and honestly? So dang photogenic I told them they could teach a posing class.
Toryn is now a big brother and he took his new title seriously—in the cutest way possible. Watching him peek over at Laith, lean in for kisses, and show off his toddler charm was such a joy. He’s full of energy and light, and the way he looked at his new baby brother? Just heart melting. Sweet baby Laith slept like a dream and gave us all the cozy newborn goodness—curled-up poses, tiny fingers, and even a few smiles!
Zoe and Jacob, thank you for inviting me back into your family’s story! Your family is just beautiful!
