Motherhood is messy and beautiful and hard and fun all at the same time. It is the most important title that I wear (alongside being a wife) and it’s the role that I’ve experienced the most growth in. Oh, how I had no idea what I was doing when my first baby was born! (I suppose none of us do – it’s a bit of a trial by fire, this parenting thing.) But being a mama is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced. The relationship I have with each of my boys is special and unique, and it is such a blessing to have been trusted by God to steward their hearts and teach them about His love.
This is why I’m so passionate about capturing the role of mama. I want to celebrate moms and help them feel how cherished they are by their family, how important their job is. It’s a joy to be able to document each special relationship with each child, and provide moms with the gift of a physical representation of the bonds they have with their children. This is particularly true because most of my clients don’t have photos with just their babies, certainly not professional ones, but once they do – oh how they are treasured.
