What a joy-filled and magical day we had at The Santa Experience this year! This event was filled with the laughter of little ones (maybe a few tears), mugs of hot cocoa, and the timeless charm of Santa Claus himself. We transformed the KFP studio into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, festive balloons, and classic Christmas tunes. It was a scene straight out of a holiday storybook, setting the stage for the pure magic that unfolded during our Santa sessions. I want to share a few of my favorite details from the day with you, along with the adorable photos of course!
Oh, the joy and wonder that Santa brought into our studio! His jolly laughter and warm presence instantly put even the tiniest tots at ease. As the children approached him, wide-eyed and filled with anticipation, I couldn’t help but smile. The genuine magic of believing in Santa Claus came alive in each precious moment we captured. After some strategizing, we found a way to hide Santa while the children were first arriving. He then snuck out and behind them, without them knowing, which allowed us to capture some beautiful portraits from the ones who were not his biggest fan.
I feel as though I could now start a business selling balloon arches! After some research (read: about 15 Youtube videos), I ended up with not one, but two big giant balloon arches that added so much whimsical fun to the studio. With all of the supplies I now own, you can guarantee loads of balloons at every Santa Experience going forward! We also set up a cute little hot cocoa and cookie bar so that families could hang out and enjoy a sweet treat after their time with Santa. Whimsy Cookie made the most beautiful custom cookies – one for each child to take home!
While the photos tell a beautiful story, what they may not fully capture is the unseen magic that unfolded during The Santa Experience. It’s the sound of children giggling, the sparkle in their eyes as they share their Christmas wishes with Santa, and the genuine moments of connection between families. What a joy to get to have witnessed it all! One other unseen aspect are the photos of more than a dozen sweet children in foster care who were able to come see Santa. If you purchased a ticket to the event, know that part of your entry paid for a foster family to come free of charge.
To each and every family that attended The Santa Experience, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s such an honor to be part of your holiday traditions and to witness the joy that Santa and a sprinkle of holiday magic bring to your little ones. As we wrap up this year’s experience, I can’t help but feel immense gratitude for the privilege of capturing your precious moments. It is truly an honor!
