The Knecht family’s session at UT Gardens was a perfect reflection of what this stage of family life often looks like—full, active, and constantly moving. With three little ones, ages three, two, and ten months, the energy naturally stayed high, but so did the connection.
UT Gardens offered an ideal setting for a session like this. The open walkways, soft greenery, and pockets of light gave plenty of space for the kids to explore while still keeping everything visually clean and cohesive. It’s a location that allows for movement without feeling chaotic, which is especially helpful when photographing families with young children.
With kids this close in age, there’s rarely a moment that feels completely still—and that’s not the goal. The session was guided in a way that kept things flowing, with just enough direction to bring everyone together while still allowing room for natural interaction. Moments of closeness would happen, shift quickly, and then turn into something new, creating a gallery that feels dynamic but still grounded.
For many parents, this season can feel like a blur of routines, quick transitions, and trying to keep up with multiple little personalities at once. It’s busy in a way that doesn’t always leave much space to pause. Sessions like this are designed to meet families right where they are—without expecting perfection, and without needing everything to go according to plan.
The result is a collection of images that feel honest to this stage: a little fast-paced, full of personality, and centered on the connection that holds it all together.
